These past few months at Sapna have been exciting, albeit challenging at times, but always inspiring. We, as learners, have practiced and honed our skills, pursued various interests, and discovered new talents and strengths. The month of December provides many opportunities to try out our techniques and newfound expertise.
Below you will find our new "Set the Week" schedule, as well as a list of upcoming events.
Community MEETING Notes + Updates
Monday, December 13th at 6:30pm
Let's get together and have some fun! Please join us at the Nocatee Spray Park for the holiday light show. This is a daily-occurring event that is open to the public, so please bring the whole family and stay as long as you wish.
At our last Community Meeting in November, we decided to form a Community Advisory Board that will meet every other month starting in January. This group will work together to create an even stronger mission and vision for our center, while also helping our community develop various policies and tackle tough decisions. This is not a committee that will make final decisions, but rather offer guidance and support. More information to come on how to get involved.
Moving forward in the new year, we plan to shift from Community Meetings to Community Meet Ups, giving families the opportunity to connect in a more casual and comfortable way. Any community issues will be reviewed by the Community Advisory Board before information and guidance is disseminated to the larger community.
After speaking with each family in our Sapna community, monitoring local COVID information, and with the opportunity for most learners to get inoculated, we plan to go mask optional starting January 2022. We still encourage learners, facilitators, and parents to wear masks indoors for the safety of all learners (some of whom are still at a high risk for transmission). Thank you all for your thoughts, ideas, guidance, patience, and overwhelming support throughout this unprecedented time. We appreciate you all!
gingerbread house competition
Saturday, December 11th starting at 9am
Although we will not be competing officially as a group, we do plan to create our own Gingerbread "House" to go on display during the competition. We hope every learner will help design and decorate our masterpiece throughout the week of December 7th-10th. Please be sure to check out our creation!
christmas party @ the link
Saturday, December 18th at 4:30pm
The Sapna Storytellers are back by popular demand! Please join us as our learners perform The Polar Express at the Christmas Party. There will be hot chocolate, an opportunity to see Santa, special treats and train rides! It all ends with a holiday concert at the Flagler Health+ Village Pavilion. We hope to see you there!
