This week's **MAGICAL MOMENT** sparked an interest (and opportunity) to create the Sapna Storytellers...
Calvin has been asking to read stories out lout to the "little kids". This week he got his chance. Everyone joined him for his reading of The Foot Book and many wanted a chance to read as well. The Sapna Storytellers were born! We decided to hold our first story time the Friday before Halloween - so mark your calendars. This will be an opportunity to Sapna learners to participate in many different ways and take ownership of a weekly community event.
As we welcomed fall, the weather allowed quite a bit more outdoor time than usual. Learners created their own catapult/lacrosse sticks in the classroom and put them to use on the green. We had hopscotch challenges, cleaned the playground equipment, and just enjoyed the cool breeze. Not sure how long this will last, but we hope it stays for our Fall Equinox Week!
Our garden continues to be a work in progress and our seeds are sprouting. We hope families are able to join us on Saturday, October 2nd for our Farm Tour starting at Congree and Penn at 9:30am and ending at the Riverside Arts Market to pick up our starter flats from Down to Earth Farms. We will have some work to do after Fall Break!

More fun at the center...
Check out our offerings at the center next week as we work to reflect on the past 2 months and continue to create a space that is student-centered, driven by their ideas.
