MONSTERS + MAGIC
Potions class has been in the works for over a week and Wednesday morning the witches started brewing up some fun! Everyone enjoyed this offering that mixed a little magic and science. We started by dying the potion books in tea and coffee to give them an aged look. Our resident witches came up with the spooky ingredients, including frog sweat (vinegar) and dead man's toe powder (baking soda). Watch out! When combined, those two create a chemical reaction!
Monster Week at the center included all kinds of monster-inspired activities. Corbin led monster lego creation challenge, as well as began work on a monster symphony. Each learner at the center was able to record their own unique monster sound that Corbin plans to combine to make monster music! During little artists, we drew cute spooky monsters, cheeseburger monsters, and Christian taught us how to draw Mile Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. We had a monster fashion show with London, played zombie tag, and so much more!
