together again
Like fabrics coming together to form an entirely new, beautiful creation, our students returned from spring break with a renewed sense of creativity and collaboration. This week, kids created mini-quilts, wrote a newspaper, planted a garden, built a time machine, celebrated birthdays, painted masterpieces, wrote stories, filmed new Sapna shorts (some of the best yet!), started preparing for a makers' market and even had time to plan a back to school dance!
It was all a success! The kids had a blast, facilitators and parents were bursting with pride! At one point this week, I found myself wandering around, looking for something to do. All the kids were working on their own projects and I just stopped to enjoy the moment, tried to let go. I hope this is how it will always be - the kids deep in thought and creativity, sharing ideas, making connections. Everyone is a teacher and everyone is a learner.
