2022 SAPNA ACADEMY RECYCLED "GINGERBREAD" VILLAGE
There were only a few rules for our recycled "gingerbread" houses. First of all, they are not made out of gingerbread. Only recycled materials could be used for this project, along with glue, tape, paint, ribbon, beads and other embellishments. Pretty much any loose part in our classroom that was deemed okay by Ms. Jo. Houses also had to fit on a 12 x 12 square of cardboard. Other than that, the possibilities were endless. Skyscrapers, technicolored cottages, a bakery, a restaurant, even a dragon! Some decorated for the holidays, others just decorated for beauty.
To watch cardboard boxes, egg cartons, cups, pipe cleaners, paper, and plastic transformed into adorable and amazing works of art has been a joy! Best of all - they will last well beyond the holiday season and could even be redecorated and made into something new!
Please stop in this week and check out the hallway. This Friday, December 16th, the link is hosting its annual Christmas Party starting at 5:30pm. The Sapna Storytellers have been hard at work writing stories and scripts, as well as filming their holiday-inspired Sapna Shorts. These amazing creations, along with their Gingerbread Village, will be on display at the party. We hope you will all come out to support their hard work and creativity, as well as share in some good cheer!
This Friday, December 16th is PAJAMA DAY! Sapna learners can wear their favorite pajamas (holiday or not!). We will also be having a small holiday party around noon.
Please feel free to send in drinks, snacks, and treats to share! We will also be screening our special Holiday Sapna Shorts!
Sapna Winter Break starts next week
from December 19 - January 2nd
Programming will resume on January 3rd.
